Dead Boy Sits Up In Coffin

Here's an odd story (not sure if it's true) out of Brazil.
The child's devastated family took him home where grieving relatives held a wake throughout the night, with the boy's body laid in an open coffin.
But an hour before his funeral was due to take place on Saturday the boy apparently sat up in his coffin and said: 'Daddy, can I have some water?'.

The boy's father, Antonio Santos, said: 'Everybody started to scream, we couldn't believe our eyes. Then we thought a miracle had taken place and our boy had come back to life.
The story then goes on to say they buried the child later that day after the doctors "verified" that the child had actually died the second time.
The boy's family decided to delay the funeral for an hour in the hope that he would wake up again, but ended up burying him at 5pm that day in a local cemetery
I don't think I'd be so quick to bury at that point. And I certainly hope the child didn't wake up again.

It’s up to a gladiator to stop the spread of the zombie horde and save Rome.

Idiot Tries To Get Shot In Florida...

...by running around in bloody clothing and pretending to be a zombie.

I've got to say, this is one of the DUMBEST things I've seen. I only share it here because it's zombie related. But this guy is seriously lucky he did not get shot by someone for his antics. And we definitely do not recommend anybody go about doing this to unsuspecting people.

The Walking Dead Escape. Live the Apocalypse! In San Diego.

The Walking Dead will invade San Diego's Petco Park just in time for Comic-Con.

Publisher Skybound and writer-creator Robert Kirkman are teaming for The Walking Dead Escape: San Diego, an obstacle course where participants can do one of three things: be a survivor and race through a zombie-infested evacuation zone; be a walker who joins the ranks of the undead; or a spectator who watches from the sidelines during an Escape Party.

The event, set to run in conjunction with San Diego Comic Con on July 12-15, will celebrate the 100th issue of the Image/Skybound Comic series that inspired AMC's popular zombie drama.

"Our fans have been reading about it, watching it and now they get to live it with The Walking Dead Escape," Kirkman said in a statement. "We are literally transforming Petco Park into the early days of society's collapse and San Diego is just the first city to fall."

The course, while not a race, is designed to be an experience where participants can experience interactive displays and Walking Dead references along the course, which when completed will determine whether or not you've been infected (though we have a hunch everyone already is!).

All Survivors and Walkers will receive an Exclusive Special Edition of the 100th Issue of The Walking Dead.

All Spectators will receive an Exclusive Special Edition poster of the cover of the 100th Issue of The Walking Dead.

TV Guide Magazine: What are you most looking forward to about joining The Walking Dead?
Morrissey: It's the right show at the right time. My family will be joining me in Atlanta. I've known Andrew Lincoln [Rick] from around London; we have mutual friends. And I get to go to Comic-Con.

Dread Central had the following image from the set of Fede Alvarez's remake of "The Evil Dead".

So apparently the zombies/possessed victims of the candarian demons won't be spewing Fluffernutter but something a lot more gruesome and blood-like! The synopsis for the remake is:
Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin where they discover a Book of the Dead and unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
